You know how people say "You learn something new everyday"? Well, here is the thing that I learned today: Steve Jobs got fired from Apple, the company that he co-founded. Then he went on to create a company called NeXT and he had a part in creating Pixar. I was in for a learning support teacher today and when I came back to the main room the students were in, the class was discussing an article about Steve Jobs. They were talking about how important it is to work with others because Apple then realized that they needed Jobs working with them. Just think about what could have happened had Jobs never worked with Apple again.
Or think about what would have happened if Apple never fired him in the first place. Would Pixar have been created and be as big as it is today? Who knows. It's another one of those times where we can say "things happen for a reason." Even bad things that happen to us can turn into positive things if we have a positive outlook. When something bad happens to us and we are only looking at the negative, we can't find anything positive from that experience.
What is one moment in your life that you look back at and think "If that hadn't happened, my life would be completely different." For me it would be meeting my husband. If we had never met, I wouldn't have my 2 precious children. And there would be people in my life that I don't know. So be grateful for every moment in your life, even the bad ones. Because if you stay positive, then positive things will come your way. It's all about mindset!!

I'm going to sound like a broken record here...
I know...you've heard me say this many times before, everything happens for a reason! But I keep reading, hearing, or experiencing this for myself and I just can't stop talking about it. Just last night I was reading a magazine and I read this article that caught my attention. It was about a woman and her 3-year old daughter that were in a car accident. A woman that was in the car that the first woman hit got a scan done after the accident because she felt some whiplash from the accident. Well, during that scan they found that she had stage 3 lung cancer. If it wouldn't have been for that accident, she would have never gotten that scan done because she never smoked one single cigarette in the 40 years she's been alive.
This story reminds me of someone I know who was diagnosed with a form of leukemia while she was pregnant with her youngest daughter. The kind of leukemia she had causes you to bleed from the inside out, so she is very lucky that they caught it when they did. It is a curable kind of cancer and it may not have been found if she weren't pregnant. So I'd say her daughter is definitely her little miracle that saved her life!!
It's almost coming up on a year since I was in a minor car accident with the kiddos. The backseat wasn't touched at all so they didn't have a scratch on them. And I came out without any injuries as well. But that event was the first of the "everything happens for a reason" things that have been happening to me over the past year. I had never thought that way about things before this happened but I'm sure there have been a ton of things that I could use that saying for that have happened to me throughout my life. It just became a lot more noticeable this past year.
So what is one thing that has happened to you recently that you think definitely happened for a reason? Leave me a comment and have a wonderful day!!!

Everything happens for a reason...
In the book Everything Everything that I read recently, there was a quote that stood out to me and got me thinking:
Now I wrote a blog post about regrets over a month ago, but I don't think this is the same thing. Within the past year I've said "things happen for a reason" a lot! There have been a ton of moments where that has been true. So the quote above just got me thinking, if one moment was changed in my life, how would that make everything else different? For example, if I had never met my husband, how would my life be different from how it is now? I wouldn't have my 2 beautiful babies or the wonderful family I've inherited by marrying my hubby. If I had never overcome my fear of meeting new people and never found the mom's group I'm in, I wouldn't have any friends that live around me. And also, if I had never found that mom's group, I would have never met the friend that introduced me to essential oils and that would just be horrible if I had never been introduced to these amazing oils!!
Life is precious and so short so I'm not saying that we should look back at all the "what-ifs" in life because I'm sure everyone has a ton of them! All I'm trying to say is that it's all those "what-if" moments that make life so awesome! It just makes you realize how completely different your life could have been, whether it be for better or worse, just because of one small moment! As I mentioned in my regrets post, there are some things in my past I would change. But then there are a lot more things in my past that I wouldn't want to change at all. Things happen for a reason and sometimes we don't know what that reason is at the time, but sometimes the reason gets revealed at a later time! What is one decision you made in your life that you are so thankful for and that if you hadn't chosen that, your life would be completely different?
