Last night, I finally got to leave Pearle Vision with my contacts in my eyes!! They had to find just the right pair of contacts so I could have as close to 20/20 vision as possible! The optometrist said that my right eye is 20/20 and the left one is one line below 20/20. Because of my astigmatism, she did the best she could do. I wore them this morning for 4 hours (working my way up to 12 hours by adding an hour each day), and it was an amazing 4 hours!! We went to the park for a playdate and my first thought when we got into the car and I started it was "Where are my glasses?" It's so weird not wearing my glasses after wearing them constantly for 15 years! It's definitely going to take some time getting used to it! Being able to see clearly without my glasses is awesome!
And getting them in and out is a lot easier now! After that first training (which I talked about here) I seriously thought I wasn't going to be able to get contacts to work. But I've definitely improved since then! It did take me a little bit to get them out earlier, but I did it!! What are your thoughts on contacts? Leave me a comment! Have a great rest of your Wednesday!

Beach time!
How many people out there need to make a list when packing for a trip? I know I definitely do! And if I didn't before, I definitely need to with 2 kids!! I gotta make sure nothing is forgotten!! Also, how many people start thinking about everything they've packed as soon as you start driving away from home, and then you always think of at least one small thing you forgot? Yup, I've done that plenty of times!!
While making the list to pack, I always just think about a typical day and all of the things I use throughout my day, all the way up to getting ready for bed.
We leave for the beach tonight when my hubby gets home from work. I'm pretty much all packed except for my oils. That's the most important thing to pack!! Gotta make sure we have our diffusers and the oils we diffuse at bedtime. Also gotta have the rollers that I use on a daily basis. But I've still got time to pack all that. We're going to the library for storytime soon then when we come back it's time for lunch and naptime. While the kiddos are napping, I'll get my packing done and then the countdown to 5:00 begins!!
What are some of your best packing tips? Have a great weekend everyone!!

Weekend Recap- 5/14/17
Friday night my mom and I went out to do some karaoke! It wasn't as crowded as it always is when we go there so we were actually able to sing 3 songs each instead of just 2. My mom's last song was dedicated to me; she sang "In My Daughter's Eyes" by Martina McBride. And my last song, "Mama's Song" by Carrie Underwood, was dedicated to my mama!
Then on Saturday morning we went to the grand opening of the new YMCA in our area. They were offering 30 minute classes of some of the popular classes they teach and one of them was Zumba! So my mom watched the kiddos while I got my Zumba in for the day! I was looking at the class schedules and just found out that one of the branches near me offers Zumba on Friday mornings, so I'm gonna start going to that one along with my Thursday and Saturday classes!!
Little E took some more steps on his own, 17 to be exact!! He's gonna be a walker any day now, I just know it!!!
Saturday night around 10, my hubby had to go into work for a few hours. It was supposed to be on Sunday around noon, but it got pushed to Saturday night because they were ahead of schedule with things. So I sat downstairs in the living room, enjoyed a bowl of birthday cake ice cream, and watched my favorite movie, The Wizard of Oz.
I ended up falling asleep (after I was done eating my ice cream of course) and woke up around 12:30. My hubby was still at work so I went up to bed and ended up getting to sleep in till about 8:30. I would have gotten breakfast in bed if it weren't for Little E waking me up and needing fed. There's always next year! We went out and did a little shopping at Target (walked out with nothing though), Five Below, and Lowes. Both the hubby and I took a nice, long nap while the kiddos did and then we went outside to play for a bit. I was so happy it was finally a decent day so we could play outside! It was a bit windy, but I'll take that over the rain!!
After both kids got a bath and got all cleaned up, we had dinner and then just relaxed the rest of the evening before putting them to bed. Then my hubby and I played some video games before we went up to bed. But before we did, we got all caught up on Last Man Standing, which I just found out the other day that it got cancelled! So needless to say, I didn't like how the last episode ended because they didn't know it was going to be the last episode when they filmed it.
There you go. It's a little late but there's my weekend recap. Hope you had a great weekend!!

Oily Wednesday
Yesterday I got my Essential Rewards order in the mail! This is my monthly order that I can change each month and I get 20% back in points to use for oils and other products from Young Living! It's the greatest rewards program out there!! Every month after my order processes, I'm almost constantly changing my next months order! There's just so much I have to restock and new oils and products I want to try!
This past weekend we went to a local thrift shop and my hubby found a cube portrait studio for $10. He thought it looked cool and said I could use it to take pictures of my oils. When he said that, I wasn't thinking about using it for my Essential Rewards order each month, but that's exactly what I'm going to do! So here we go...check out my order and then I'll explain what I got.
I want to start cooking with some of the Vitality oils so I got 4 different spices to try out: Rosemary, Thyme, Basil, and Nutmeg. I also got the Orange Vitality for free for having a 100 PV order.
These 3 oils are diffused in me and my husband's room every single night. Sometimes I might swap out the Cedarwood and Lavender with Peace and Calming or Valor, but I always diffuse RC. It definitely helps keep the passageways open at night.

I can see clearly now...
Today I got an eye exam, my first one in almost 3 years! The last time I got one was a few months after Big E was born. They asked me at that appointment if I was breastfeeding because they said my eyes could still chance during that, but I didn't really care about that. And even though I'm breastfeeding again while I went to this exam, I didn't care again because I was in desperate need of an exam and new glasses! Take a look at my old glasses.
That's heat shrink tape holding my glasses together on the left side! A few weeks ago while I was changing Little E for bedtime, he grabbed a hold of my glasses and they broke! This was a little bit after I scheduled my eye exam and I even called them to see if they had anything sooner than today, but they didn't. So since then, I've just had to be super careful with my glasses to make sure they didn't break any further!!
I've had glasses since 6th grade so that would mean I've had them for a total of about 15 years now!! How awesome is that? 15 years of glasses and now I'm finally trying out...contacts!!! I've had enough of glasses! My little guy always goes after them, they get in the way when I lay my head on my hubby's chest to snuggle, they are annoying in the rain...I could go on and on!
Well, my first training session with contacts didn't go so well. I tried for a good 45+ min and only managed to get one contact in. I was trying to get the left one it first but then I dropped it on the floor so we switched to the right. I finally got that one in and was sitting there for a few minutes while they went to get another one for my left eye. It was so weird being able to see good in one eye and not the other! I couldn't get the left one in so then they had me take out the one in my right eye. Well, that didn't go so well at first but I eventually got it out. So now I have to wait until next Tuesday to try again. I really hope I can do it!! I was told that I'm not afraid to get my finger in there, by top eyelid just blinks too much and prevents the contact from going in. I'm determined to make this work so I'm gonna try, try again!! Anyone have any tips for a new contact user? Have a great night everyone!!

Weekend Recap- 5/7/17
Another weekend has come and gone. Saturday morning we went to a big yard sale near us and got a few things. It was really cold out and sprinkling a little bit, but luckily it was nothing more than that!
Then after lunch and naptime we went to Lowes so my hubby could check some things out and get pricing on a project he wants to do. He wants to mulch the area around the swing set and play houses so that he doesn't have to keep moving them when he mows. It will look really nice once it's all done! I'll definitely be sure to take before and after pictures and post them on here.
Sunday we went through the garage and cleaned up the rest of the stuff from our yard sale that we had last week. We packed a bunch of it up and took it to our local thrift shop to get donated! A lot of the stuff we took we had from our yard sale 2 years ago!!
That was pretty much our weekend. We didn't really do anything too exciting. Next weekend's recap will be a little more exciting so stay tuned for that!! I hope everyone had a good weekend and has a good week!!

Oily Wednesday
Alright so I know it isn't Wednesday, but I still wanted to get an oily post written and published today! I'm just a day late, but better late than never, right?
Today I've decided to write about Panaway. This is a blend made up of wintergreen, clove, helichrysum, and peppermint. This is a hot oil so you want to make sure to dilute it before using on your skin. The way I like to dilute this oil is by putting 10-15 drops in a 10 mL roller ball bottle and filling the rest with fractionated coconut oil. Then I roll this on my abdomen during my monthly cycle and it helps with cramps. I also put it on my muscles after any kind of physical activity such as Zumba! Panaway is also a wonderful oil to mix with Epsom salts and add to a bath at the end of a long, hard day! When putting any oil in a bath, always be sure to add it to Epsom salts before adding it to the bath or else the oils will just float on the top.
This one is mostly used topically, but when you take 4 drops of Panaway and 4 drops of Stress Away and put them in a diffuser, it smells like a root beer float!!
Panaway is a pretty amazing oil and there are other things I can't say due to the FDA regulations. So I encourage you to do your own research on Panaway to see what else this oil can do!!

Little People toys are amazing!
I love my local kids consignment store because I know that every time I go in there, I'll find some kind of Little People playset! The problem is, soon our house is going to get taken over by these toys!! There are just so many options when it comes to these toys and I feel like my kids have to have them all!! Their like Pokemon, "Gotta catch 'em all!" These toys are great for kids' imagination because they can play with them in so many different ways!! Don't believe me? Check out this article here.
On Sunday when we got back from our little overnight adventure, my hubby when outside to mow and I got the idea to do a little rearranging of the toys! Here is what it used to look like in our living room:
And here is what it looks like now:
I bet you are wondering where these toys used to be. Here is what the corner in the playroom looked like before:
And after:
With the toys in the living room now, there is a lot more room to spread out and play with them! Plus, that bin organizer usually has a lot of toys in it, so with that being in the playroom, it keeps a lot more toys out there and less in the living room!
A little after I moved the Little People toys, Little E had them all out on the floor and was having a blast!!
And then of course Big E wanted to get in on the action and have her picture taken!!
She even had to be like her brother and have one of the Little People in her mouth!!
So what are your favorite Little People sets? I think my favorite out of all the ones they have is the Little People Camping Fun. I got this for Big E at Target and didn't get all the little extras that go with it, but it's still a great set!!

Better late than never...
So last month in this post I wrote about how I was going to do a 30 day Spring cleaning challenge. I was a few days behind but was going to catch up and I even said maybe some days I could double (or triple) up and maybe get the list done sooner. Ha! I have no idea what I was thinking when I said that. I started doing a few things from it actually, but then it got to be the middle of April and I realized I wasn't following the list so I just kind of gave up.
So now with it being May 1st, I'm going to start over and this time I'm making it through the list! I'm determined to keep my house cleaner this year and I know I can make it happen! If that means playing less video games, then that's what's gonna have to happen!
First up is the fridge! My fridge is ALWAYS a mess!! I've been looking up different ways on how to keep my fridge more organized and I'm determined to get it organized for good! I'll clean it out and then 2 days later, it's a mess!
I actually cleaned out my fridge last night and didn't take a before picture. But here is what it looks like now. I'm hoping it will actually stay this clean for longer than 2 days!!!
Instead of bombarding you with a post a day about my spring cleaning progress, I will only post about it twice a week with a few days worth of my progress. That's all for now! Have a great day!!
