Oily Wednesday

Alright so I know it isn't Wednesday, but I still wanted to get an oily post written and published today! I'm just a day late, but better late than never, right?

Today I've decided to write about Panaway. This is a blend made up of wintergreen, clove, helichrysum, and peppermint. This is a hot oil so you want to make sure to dilute it before using on your skin. The way I like to dilute this oil is by putting 10-15 drops in a 10 mL roller ball bottle and filling the rest with fractionated coconut oil. Then I roll this on my abdomen during my monthly cycle and it helps with cramps. I also put it on my muscles after any kind of physical activity such as Zumba! Panaway is also a wonderful oil to mix with Epsom salts and add to a bath at the end of a long, hard day! When putting any oil in a bath, always be sure to add it to Epsom salts before adding it to the bath or else the oils will just float on the top.

This one is mostly used topically, but when you take 4 drops of Panaway and 4 drops of Stress Away and put them in a diffuser, it smells like a root beer float!!

Panaway is a pretty amazing oil and there are other things I can't say due to the FDA regulations. So I encourage you to do your own research on Panaway to see what else this oil can do!!

Little People toys are amazing!

I love my local kids consignment store because I know that every time I go in there, I'll find some kind of Little People playset! The problem is, soon our house is going to get taken over by these toys!! There are just so many options when it comes to these toys and I feel like my kids have to have them all!! Their like Pokemon, "Gotta catch 'em all!" These toys are great for kids' imagination because they can play with them in so many different ways!! Don't believe me? Check out this article here.

On Sunday when we got back from our little overnight adventure, my hubby when outside to mow and I got the idea to do a little rearranging of the toys! Here is what it used to look like in our living room:

And here is what it looks like now:

I bet you are wondering where these toys used to be. Here is what the corner in the playroom looked like before:

And after:

With the toys in the living room now, there is a lot more room to spread out and play with them! Plus, that bin organizer usually has a lot of toys in it, so with that being in the playroom, it keeps a lot more toys out there and less in the living room!

A little after I moved the Little People toys, Little E had them all out on the floor and was having a blast!!

And then of course Big E wanted to get in on the action and have her picture taken!!

She even had to be like her brother and have one of the Little People in her mouth!!

So what are your favorite Little People sets? I think my favorite out of all the ones they have is the Little People Camping Fun. I got this for Big E at Target and didn't get all the little extras that go with it, but it's still a great set!!

Disclaimer: All above thoughts are my own and I did not receive any free products or money from Fisher Price to write this post.

Better late than never...

So last month in this post I wrote about how I was going to do a 30 day Spring cleaning challenge. I was a few days behind but was going to catch up and I even said maybe some days I could double (or triple) up and maybe get the list done sooner. Ha! I have no idea what I was thinking when I said that. I started doing a few things from it actually, but then it got to be the middle of April and I realized I wasn't following the list so I just kind of gave up.

So now with it being May 1st, I'm going to start over and this time I'm making it through the list! I'm determined to keep my house cleaner this year and I know I can make it happen! If that means playing less video games, then that's what's gonna have to happen!

First up is the fridge! My fridge is ALWAYS a mess!! I've been looking up different ways on how to keep my fridge more organized and I'm determined to get it organized for good! I'll clean it out and then 2 days later, it's a mess!

I actually cleaned out my fridge last night and didn't take a before picture. But here is what it looks like now. I'm hoping it will actually stay this clean for longer than 2 days!!!

Instead of bombarding you with a post a day about my spring cleaning progress, I will only post about it twice a week with a few days worth of my progress. That's all for now! Have a great day!!

Weekend Recap- 4/30/17

It's Sunday yet again! Saturday morning was a pretty lazy morning. My mom came over right before dinner time and after feeding Little E, my hubby and I were off to Baltimore for an overnight trip! It was supposed to be a celebration for my sister-in-law's 28th birthday, but about a week ago she decided that she wanted to do something a little more low key and less expensive. Well, I already had the hotel booked because I wanted to make sure we had something and at that point, we couldn't get a refund. So the hubby and I went anyway and just enjoyed a night out on our own! This was the first time that I left Little E overnight so I had to make sure I had plenty of milk in the fridge for him and I had to pump a few times while we were away.

We went to Baltimore for our honeymoon back in May of 2013. We're coming up on our 4th year anniversary!! So it was kinda cool being this close to our anniversary and getting to go back to where we spent our honeymoon! We definitely want to take the kids there someday and do the aquarium!! We went to the Georgia Aquarium in Georgia with Emma and she absolutely loved it!!

So anyway, there was one place that we went to on our honeymoon that I wanted to go to on this trip. There was a bar that we went to that had an old school Nintendo system hooked up to a TV that you could sit there, have a drink, and play some video games on!! It was awesome!! We played some Family Feud!!

Well, we went to The Cheesecake Factory and left with some leftovers and we're able to go into that bar with them. So back to the hotel we went and just watched some of Titanic before dozing off.

This morning we got up at 9:00 and missed the free breakfast at the hotel so we went to Dunkin Donuts instead! On the way home we went to a huge computer store and picked up some new wireless headsets for our computers!

Overall we both had a great time away, spending time just the 2 of us! We both missed our kiddos like crazy, but it's nice to recharge and enjoy some alone time every now and then! We've had a few date nights here and there but this was different because it was a whole night away!! And it was nice!! I feel refreshed and ready to take on the week!! I've said earlier this year and multiple times since then, that this is the year of "things happen for a reason", and that couldn't be more perfect for this situation. A night with just the 2 of us is just what we needed!! I hope everyone had a great weekend and has a great week!!!

Things I wish I had more time to do...

Anyone else feel like they have way too many hobbies? Too many things that they like to do in their free time? I definitely do! Most of my free time is spent cleaning the house because that can sometimes be difficult to do while the kids are awake. So I've made a list of things that I would do in my free time if I didn't have any other responsibilities to take care of.

1. Crochet: Now I am definitely not an advanced crocheter, but I like to dabble here and there. I actually have 3 blankets in the works right now, one for each of my kids and one for me. It has been months since I've actually touched any of them! I have a whole board on Pinterest of things I want to try and make and maybe eventually I'll get to them.

2. Blog: If I'm lucky, I've been blogging twice a week recently. I really want to change that. I've got a lot to say but just not enough time to type it out!! So I put a reminder on my phone for every Monday-Friday at 12:30 pm to sit down at my computer and work on a blog post or 2. If I'm able to do this, I can get a new post up every few days instead of just once or twice a week. So going forward, be on the lookout for more posts!!

3. Sew: About 3 years ago, before Big E was born I bought an old sewing machine from Craigslist. It's pretty sweet and came in a table with drawers and a spot under where the sewing machine is to put your legs while you're sewing. Here is a picture of my first project that I made!

A few months after I made that, I found an easier pattern for a tissue pouch and even made a bunch of them for Christmas gifts!

4. Reading: It seems like the only reading I'm doing these days is Dr. Seuss books or recipes for dinner meals! I love to read and currently have 36 books on my "To-read" list on my Goodreads app. If you don't have this app and you are an avid reader, I definitely recommend downloading it! It lets you keep track of books you want to read, are currently reading, and have read. I just checked out a book called The Beach House and have been reading that on my tablet or phone for a little bit before bed. So I'm going to start doing that every night so I can get my daily reading time in!

Sometimes I wish I could clone myself so I'd have more time to do the things I need to do and want to do! What things do you enjoy doing but just can't find the time to do? Any tips on how to work those things into your schedule? I'm thinking that maybe I need to start scheduling these things into my days so I can do them!

Oily Wednesday

Are you a stressed out Mama who feels like she's being pulled in a million directions? Do you feel like you need a nice long vacation by yourself? Well I've got just the oil for you...Stress Away! This is a blend with lime, vanilla, lavender, and cedarwood. I have a roller of this oil that I roll on my temples, behind my ears, and wrists. I also have a spray so I can spritz myself with it before heading out the door.

This is also a great oil to add to Epsom salts and then add to a nice relaxing bath!! When adding any oil to a bath, you always want to add the oils to Epsom salts first so the oils don't just float on the top.

Stress Away is wonderful to diffuse! When you add it to the diffuser with Panaway, it smells like a root beer float and adding it to orange makes it smell like an orange creamsicle!!

Diffusing in the car in a car diffuser is also great! But you don't even need a car diffuser. Just take a clothespin, clip it to a vent in your car, add a drop of oil on the end, and breathe in the wonderful scent!

So if you need to unwind from a long, stressful day, Stress Away is the perfect oil for you! Or use it throughout the day to keep you calm and collected! Being a mom of 2, this oil definitely helps me out!!

Weekend Recap- 4/23/17

We had a pretty low key weekend this weekend. No plans at all and it was pretty nice! I feel like recently we have been busy, busy, busy, every single weekend!! So it's really nice when we have a weekend like this when we don't have anything to do or anywhere to go.

Saturday it was raining outside and a bit chilly so we didn't get to spend anytime outside. We did go to get our tire fixed on one of our cars. A few weeks ago my husband noticed the air pressure was low and then he found a small tack in it. Since then we were able to get by with just refilling it with air here and there. So we finally went to get it fixed and all it took was a simple $20 fix. Then we stopped at Five Below before going home. We didn't know what to do for dinner, so my hubby ended up getting a rotisserie chicken, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and corn. It was like a mini Thanksgiving feast, except we had chicken instead of turkey.

Oh, so before dinner, while the kiddos were napping, I started going through Big E's clothes that I'm going to be selling at our yard sale this coming weekend. I saved a few of her premie outfits because I couldn't part with all of them, but I did find a few in a box that I'm going to sell. She'll be 3 very soon and it's still hard to believe that she was ever this small!! Then today I was looking through a box of clothes that my husband's grandmother gave us that she got from someone and most of the clothes were bigger than the size she is in now. Looking at the bigger clothes it's hard to believe that she will someday fit those and be that big! Kids definitely grow up way too fast!! My oldest cousin just turned 18 yesterday, so crazy!!

Today was a bit more lazy than Saturday. Well for me at least. The grass was still too wet in the morning for my hubby to mow, but it was fine by this afternoon. So then around 4:00 we went outside with the kiddos and they had a blast!

Then my hubby made burgers and hot dogs for dinner and we enjoyed a lovely meal outside! After putting the kids to bed we went out in the garage to get things ready for the yard sale! And now we're playing some video games before heading to bed! Tomorrow is Monday and starts a whole new week! Have a great week everyone!
